Repairing the Brain

Several of our researchers work on understanding how the immune system influences the repair of myelin in the CNS. The goal of this research is to use this new knowledge to develop treatments that help to boost myelin repair in MS.

Eye

The eye holds potential to identify aspects of MS that are common between the retina (back of the eye) and brain/spinal cord. Our researchers are studying ways to scan the retina of people with MS as well as investigating retinal inflammation.

CNS Inflammation

We study mechanisms of inflammation in Multiple Sclerosis that are associated with disease worsening. This research helps to identify new ways that inflammation may be controlled to reduce damage caused in the CNS during MS.

Clinical Science

Our team deliver clinical trials that test new treatments (interventional trials) and study aspects experienced by people with MS (observational studies). The scientific and clinical teams also collaborate on studies that research biological changes that occur in the course of MS.
